The Principles

The Principles were a council of twelve mysterious beings created by Calidus in Moonglow in order to better understand Mortalkind. Each principle represented what Calidus saw as different aspects of the mortal psyche that he wished to better understand.

• The Jagged Edge embodies conflict and rivalry.
• The Blinding Lantern embodies absolute truth and madness.
• The Whimsical Moth embodies mortal curiosity and passion.
• The Deafening Knock embodies the mortal desire for freedom.
• The Silent Winter embodies death and memory.
• The Delicate Rose embodies exploration and risk.
• The Sweet Nectar embodies mortalkind's relationship to nature.
• The Ancient Scale embodies the enigmatic protection Calidus wishes to provide.
