Barras was the largest nation in Leniya, located in Palai and centred around the city of Dunopol.

After The Tjorkanen Raids, the new king, appalled at his predecessor's tyranny, elected to give up the throne, handing control of the nation over to an assembly of intellectuals and philosophers from The Academy.
