The Tjorkanen Raids
Shortly after the Kirimachi Civil War, the Tjorkanen clans of Inis were united under the banner of Chief Relof. He brought progress to the Tjorkanen, building larger, better defended towns and settlements, and constructing The Great Shipyard, an enormous military shipyard capable of fielding a fleet frighteningly fast.
He expanded to colonise the majority of Inis, and began launching raids south into Palai. Kirimachi at the time was weak and reeling from the Civil War, and the raids struck deep and hard.
Almost half of Kirimachi's islands were taken by the Tjorkanen, and Barras was slow to respond.
The war between the three lasted for 4 years, before Barras reluctantly helped fund Kirimachi's military efforts and together the two launched a covert offensive directly into Inis, ultimately killing Chief Relof and burning his Great Shipyard to ashes.
The united Tjorkanen nation was shattered, and many of the clans in the north quickly began to blame one another for the failure.
Meanwhile those Tjorkanen still left in occupied Kirimachi lands remained, entrenched too deeply to be routed by their neighbours. Peace was struck between Barras, Kirimachi, and the newly established Integya, who ceded some of the occupied islands back to the Kirimachi as a sign of good faith, leaving them occupying 1/3rd of what was the Kirimachi Empire.
